WHAT MENUS ARE AVAILABLE?
We always have our tasting menu and a la carte menu on. Wednesday to Friday lunch we have an additional set lunch menu. Sunday lunch we have a Sunday menu.

DO YOU HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY?
We do. If you were to cancel within 48 hours of your booking, then there is a fee of £25per person. However this changes if you do not show up for your booking without notice, this is a charge of £65 per person. We can be flexible within 48hrs if you needed to move your reservation, please call 01189403673.
DO YOU ALLOW DOGS?
We do. We are very dog friendly, but please let us know that you are bringing a dog.
DO YOU HAVE A DRESS CODE?
Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in, as we do not have a set dress code.
DO YOU HAVE A CAR PARK?
Yes, right in front of the restaurant.
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME TO THE RESTAURANT?
Of course, children are more than welcome. We don’t have a children’s menu but we can offer children's portions. If you ask in advance we are happy to make what your child usually likes to eat.
DO YOU CATER FOR VEGETARIANS/VEGANS?
We do indeed, we like to treat our veggies just as much as we care for our meat and fish.
DO YOU HAVE A WAITING LIST?
We only run a waiting list if the reservation date you are looking is fully booked.
DO YOU OFFER CORKAGE?
We are happy for you to bring your own bottle. Please note there will be a charge for this – ask upon reservation for more information.
DO YOU OFFER BIRTHDAY CAKES OR CAN A CUSTOMER BRING THEIR OWN?
To celebrate special occasions, guests are more than welcome to bring their own cake as long as it is not a substitute for not having a dessert at the end of your meal otherwise there will be a small charge.
DO YOU HAVE A BAR AREA?
We most certainly do! Please feel free to arrive early to enjoy a drink in the bar lounge before your meal. Or just relax at the end of your meal.
ARE YOU OPEN ON SUNDAYS?
Sundays we offer a special set menu, which features guest roasts and roasties to die for.

Reservation lines are open Wednesday - Sunday 9am until 6pm.
CAN I BUY GIFT VOUCHERS?
Our gift vouchers come in £20, £50 and £100 denominations and are valid for one year. To buy vouchers, contact our reservations team on 01189 403673. We now offer e-vouchers that are available to purchase from the Orwells Restaurant website.
WHERE IS THE NEAREST TRAIN STATION?
Reading train station is the main station about 10 minutes’ by taxi from Orwells, but Shiplake is 5 minutes away but has no taxi rank outside.
HOW ACCESSIBLE ARE YOU?
We are a 18th century building, we welcome wheelchair users and are able to provide a temporary ramp for access in and out of the restaurant and offer access to a disabled toilet.
